The Mercury in question is a red '65 convertible with white leather interior, and Travis Wade's desire for an acquisition of this car drives this tape. While on the quest, Travis encounters two snotty gay couples whose conniving behavior fits in the category of negative role models.

"Clean" is the best word to describe Mercury Rising. The Falcon stallions are clean-cut, the locations are manicured, the sex is formulaic and the mood is antiseptic. Even the car is spotless.
